Lincoln Property Company Wins Leasing and Management Assignment of the Watergate Office

Lincoln Property is pleased to announce that they have been awarded the exclusive leasing and management assignment for one of D.C.’s most iconic office buildings, Watergate Office located at 2600 Virginia Avenue, NW.

The building has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation over the last few years including a new fitness center, new lobby, new elevators, new retail amenities, new electric charging stations, new connection to the Watergate hotel off the luxury office lobby and bike facility, but with its new owner, local D.C. resident, Brian Friedman (founder of the Friedman Capital Family office), the renovation plans are much more. Brian Friedman has unique luxury design renovations in store for the building, including a co-working space, restaurants, art galleries and an Urban Athletic Club with local private training classes. The plans also indicate having a portion of the building dedicated to a Watergate Nixon museum.

The leasing team at Lincoln are excited to be a part of this historic listing.

“Lincoln is proud to be working with Friedman Capital and Seligman Associates on such an iconic building,” said Merrill Turnbull, Managing Director of the D.C. leasing department. “The Watergate Office building offers tenants modern amenities, combined with the unique experience of leasing a space that holds such a storied past.”

Constructed in 1967, The Watergate Building was the site of the infamous break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in 1972, which eventually led to Nixon’s resignation. The project is part of a six-building complex that includes additional office, retail, hotel and residential.
