Washington, D.C. August 1, 2018 – Lincoln Property Company, owner of 2300 N Street, NW a mixed-use building, announces a new restaurant concept will be coming to their West End location. The restaurant will be located on the corner of N and 24th Streets, NW, and is owned by restaurateur Hakan Ilhan, and is slated to open in the Spring of 2019.
Though the 4,435 square foot restaurant is currently unnamed, Hakan Ilhan has set his sight for his latest concept to feature the “greatest hits” dishes from his other restaurants in the D.C. area. This new American Bistro restaurant will add to Ilhan’s restaurant roster of Ottoman Taverna serving Turkish cuisine located at 425 I Street, NW; Mirabelle, a French cuisine concept located on 900 16th Street, NW, Alba Osteria on 425 I Street, serving pizza and Italian comfort food, as well as Al Dente, an Italian restaurant located at 3201 New Mexico Avenue, NW.
Hakan, dedicated to the success of this new endeavor, is especially interested in the desires and expectations of 2300 N Street, NW’s current tenant base. Unlike most restaurants that create a menu and predict patterns before they move-in, the restaurateur has surveyed the buildings’ tenant base to consider their desires and peak needs before solidifying his menu and staffing needs. 2300 N Street, NW’s current tenants include The Aspen Institute, Spitfire Strategies, and Everfi.
“With this location’s mix of Washington, D.C. visitors having three nearby hotels, the Dupont Circle activity, and its resident base along with the momentum of new office tenants coming into the area, we anticipate this location to be the new focal point of the West End,” said Hakan Ilhan.
The restaurant will be open for lunch, happy hour, dinner, and brunch on the weekends, and is expected serve mixed cuisine such as falafel sandwiches, Mediterranean salads, pizza, pasta, Le Dip sandwiches, steak frites, eggs benedict, and more. The outdoor design will include two patios, one of them being an enclosed rosé wine garden.
