The Aspen Institute Signs a 91,395 Sf Lease to Relocate Their Headquarters to 2300 N Street, NW

(December 9, 2016) Washington, D.C. – Lincoln Property Company, a leading full-service, real estate services provider, announced that their leasing team of John Marvin Jones, Adam Biberaj, Elaine Clancy and Merrill Turnbull has completed a 91,395 SF lease deal at 2300 N Street, NW in Washington D.C. with the Aspen Institute. CBRE’s Manny Fitzgerald and Earl Segal of The Ezra Company represented The Aspen Institute.

2300 N Street, NW, a 287,000 SF building that recently underwent a major full-building renovation completed in 2016, signed a lease with The Aspen Institute. Aspen Institute is a nonpartisan, educational and policy studies organization. As part of this relocation, the Aspen Institute will consolidate offices currently located on several floors at One Dupont Circle NW and at 1333 New Hampshire Avenue NW. “Our new home at 2300 N Street will allow us not only to better accommodate the growth we have experienced over the last decade, it also will afford us the opportunity to create a more collaborative and functional workspace for our staff, and more welcoming event and meeting spaces for the many participants in our programs who visit us on a regular basis,” said Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson. The Institute plans to move into the 2300 N Street location at the end of 2017.

During the past year and a half, 2300 N Street, NW has undergone significant capital improvements including a new front entrance plaza, a signature lobby and common areas designed by Fox Architects, a new 4,500 sf fitness center, HVAC systems and parking garage renovations. Plans for the renovated rooftop terrace will be revealed in the coming year and will include a rooftop access jump-elevator, catering support, and a multi-level patio and covered areas. As well, a tenant lounge and conference center is underway. 195,000 SF of office space and 4,000 ground floor retail space are available for lease.
